Serving the World
Compassionate Care
Compassionate Care Ministries loves and cares for believers and not-yet believers in our community in practical ways.
- Mercy: make visits to people in their home or hospital in cases of illness, death, or newborn babies to offer support or help. In addition, provide meals when needed, clean and service in the home as needed, and in general be supportive during crisis.
- Benevolence: give help to people in need who are a part of the church or in the community. Whether their need is physical (food and shelter) or spiritual, we want to be available.
- Transportation: provide free transportation to doctor’s visits both in town and out-of-town as needed.
- Shut-in Care: regular visits to those who are part of the church that are shut-ins. Also, regular visits to nursing homes to share grace with the often forgotten. During special seasons of the church year (Advent and Easter) we will serve Holy Communion to shut-ins and at nursing homes.
- Counseling: arrange for grief or divorce care with Pastor Brian or Roger Christiana for those in the community who have need.
- Adopt-a-Family: coordinate a church-wide effort each Advent/Christmas season to provide for food, clothing, and gifts for an adopted family in the community.
- Prayer: stay up-to-date with communal prayers and diligently intercede for people.
- Withreach: be on the lookout for new areas and opportunities to extend compassion to our community and work with God to do so.
Being Christ in the World:
We joyfully and regularly give financially and of our human resources to mobilize the church for mission globally.
The temporal and spiritual needs of the disadvantaged are also of great importance to us.
